We were asked by our clients the Museum of London to create a stunning new reception desk from our new range Mono, for their Docklands site that was undergoing a refurbishment.
The end result after many hours spent designing, planning and tweaking the scheme to ensure that all the on site requirements were met was a unit worth waiting for. The new counter incorporates many individual design elements that our clients required including DDA accessible points, in built storage, information points, in built EPOS units, LED downlights and backlit branding on the fascia. We also had to ensure that the unit wrapped around and incorporated existing beams, which, we managed by creating a shaped counter.
The reception desk was finished in HI-MACS® and is made from a blend of 75% natural minerals and natural pigments set in an acrylic matrix. This modern material provides a high performance solution for horizontal, vertical and three-dimensional applications.
